This is, simply put, the first step. In the coming months, years, decades, and possibly beyond this site will grow. I am mainly concentrating on making games for now, because they are what I am most familiar with. The two newest versions of each program will be kept on the site. As I am still learning my trade, there will no doubt be several small updates to programs, some making unseen changes to the users experience. I have every intention of keeping every version that I place on the site even after it has been taken down, so if you want to see the entire life cycle of a program you only have to ask.
Below are the different stages I hope to go through on the long road to making a RPG of my own. This is a dream of mine for many years. I am not delusional enough to think that I will make billions of dollars with this, but I will earn the self satisfaction of accomplishing my dream. Once I start this road then the headings will directly link to the appropriate program.
- Text based adventure
The game will start off with nothing but words on the screen. The player will be presented with choices that will further the game in some way. This one is currently orange cause it is under development (with the early stages available).
- “Pretty” text based adventure
This is a tiny, tiny, step that holds immense importance. I am simply going to add pretty pictures that correspond to what is happening in the game at that time. Once the pictures move then we will be onto...
- Crude animation adventure
This will have some moving pieces, but still rely heavily on the text. After this only time will tell. Like I have said over and over on this site, everything is a work in progress
- Beyond
I can honestly not tell you what comes here. Once I know then I will change it. Keep checking the What’s New page to find out, or just check here directly.
